For Week 2, please make sure you have read Chapters 3, 4, and 10 from Dye.
Also, make sure you read The Federalist Papers #1 and #51. If we make good progress, then you'll also need to read The Federalist Papers #10, but don't worry about it until I let you know.

Questions to Consider During Your Preparation for the Final Exam
- What is my definition of a politician?
- Can you describe the political history of California?
- What do The Federalist Papers #1, #10, #51, #52, #62, and #70 say?
- How does the U.S. Constitution describe the separate institutions of the Federal Government? What are their powers? How are those powers divided among the branches?
- How does direct democracy work in California?
Please bring two, three, or more (depending on how much you write and how large your handwriting is) Long Beach City College green-colored Examination Books. I would recommend that you purchase the 11" x 8.5" version, with 16 pages. You may write your essay in ink or pencil, whichever happens to be your preference.
